In my sessions, I primarily utilize two therapeutic models: EMDR (Eye Movement Reprocessing and Desensitization) and EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy). Often, individuals contact me specifically for EMDR so they can address trauma or adverse life experiences. For couples and families, I use EFT to help them identify relational patterns and reconnect with new understanding and change. Occasionally, with couples and families where a partner is struggling with an emotional block caused by a past experience, I am able to use both EMDR and EFT. Both models are evidence-based, and their efficacy is supported by research.
